Do You Qualify?
All applicants must meet the following general requirements (unless he or she has a minimum of two thousand [2000] hours of documented electrical construction work experience (W2's) or has documented military experience as a construction electrician), in order to qualify for oral interview.
General Requirements for Applicants
*High School seniors (only) may apply while still in school. Final acceptance will be determined on their ability to produce a high school diploma prior to starting our program. Seniors must also be 18 years old by September 1 in order to qualify.

Physical Requirements for Applicants
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENT
Applicants must be able to climb and work from ladders, scaffolds, poles, and towers of various heights, Push, pull, crawl, crouch, and work in confined spaces such as attics, manholes, and crawlspaces. Lift 25–50-pound objects on a fairly consistent schedule, and use various hand and power-assisted tools to install conduit, wiring, fixtures, devices, and electrical apparatus within commercial, industrial, and residential buildings.

Other Requirements
All applicants must take an aptitude test providing they meet the minimum requirements.
Upon acceptance into the apprentice program, a physical examination, which includes drug screening, is required at the JATC's expense. Drug testing is mandatory throughout the apprenticeship. The physical examinaton and drug. screening are paid for by the JATC
By accepting the offer of apprenticeship, you commit to participate in classroom-related training as well as on-the-job training.
All apprentices selected will be required to have a computer and internet access.
